“Culture and Education” has a regular and unchangeable form yet a constantly improving content and structure. In each issue one can find Articles-Studies, Communiques, Special Communiques and Reviews-Reports. The Articles-Studies that are published within it are dedicated to scientific and theoretical discussions from within many humanistic and social fields. The discourse generated is the result of thorough research.
The purpose of creating the Communiques section was to compile and present the results of the latest research and propositions for systematizing knowledge in a given field. The intention of the Special Communiques, on the other hand, is to present comprehensive reports on important national events. For example essays from the 4th all-Polish Pedagogical Association Convention or 13th Sociological Convention. According to the agreed custom of “Culture and Education” each article usually presents an idea, introductory report, full report, reports from chosen thematic groups, and a standpoint on the condition and development of a given branch. Presenting different points of view gives rise to interesting discussions – the Editorial Board invites you to discuss and to add your voice.
In the Reviews-Reports section we publish book reviews (not summaries, or flattery) with authors’ responses (if it is possible everyone gets an anonymous text in order to assume an objective attitude towards the evaluation). Sometimes it happens that even reputed researchers may be criticised and also may wish to respond. These clashes of views are important and drive academic debates forward, we are happy to publish them. Each of them has its own unique drama, determined by cognitive passion, or temper. “Culture and Education” is a distinct forum for these debates, its presence, undoubtedly, is one of the most recognizable, characteristic features of “Culture and Education”. Of course not every book review is presented with the author’s reply. Nevertheless, published texts concern current works, of significant content, presenting certain issues from a new perspective. This section also contains reviews from scientific conferences, lectures and debates.
