Chinese meeting

 

 

Because of our efforts to publish Culture and Education in China the members of Editorial Board are negotiating with the representatives from China Renmin University Press. The president of the delegation - Dr Meng Chao – kindly pertained to prof. Ryszard Borowicz and Adam Marszalek’s idea. We hope that negotiations will lead to introducing our polish quarterly on the Far Eastern market.

English and Chinese issue

The new number of Culture and Education (5/2010) is almost ready to be printed. You will find there, in addition to selected texts published this year, also some ordered works. An absolute novelty will be the simultaneous CnE edition in Chinese language. Publishing house Adam Marszałek has its representative office in Beijing.


Contest resolved

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 4th edition of this year’s contest for the best book on problematic aspects of culture, society and education is dr hab. Bartosz Wojciechowski, professor at the University of Łódź. The award winning book is entitled: Interkulturowe prawo karne. Filozoficzne podstawy karania w wielokulturowych społeczeństwach demokratycznych. Editor in chief of quarterly, professor Ryszard Borowicz, in the presence of dr Adam Marszałek - the publisher, and Justyna Brylewska - the secretary of Culture and Education, presented the award on the 18th of June 2010, during the celebration of 20th anniversary of Wydawnictwo Adam Marszałek.
